Your participation on our platform should never breach any laws, regulations or obligations to third parties. To protect all parties:

• All consultations will be limited to industry wide discussions. Sharing of company specific information is strictly prohibited
• Consultations will be phone based therefore minimal disruptions to already set schedules
• All Experts will be required to review set of client questions before hand
• Experts retain full discretion when it comes to accepting/declining invitations to consult
• This service is structured to cater for Investors seeking insights on multiple industries to guide investment decisions. There would be minimal benefit for sector specific operating companies to register as a Client
• By retaining full details of both Clients and Experts we can quickly preempt potential areas of conflict

A specialist participates in consultations as an independent contractor. He/she acts in his/her own capacity at all times and he/she is not an employee, agent, partner, legal representative or joint venturer of HTM Capital LLC

You can terminate your membership at any time via your log in account. In cases where you are not available to consult for extended periods of time, you can activate the out of office function

HTM Connect targets to meet the information requirements of local and international private equity firms, fund managers, investment banks, commercial banks, corporations, academic institutions and strategy consultancies

You will be paid based on pre-agreed consulting fees. On average, payments will be made within 15 days following completion of the consulting engagement. All payments are made by bank transfer. You will be requested to provide your bank details after registration

The pre-agreed fee is an hourly rate in Kenya Shillings (KES). The fee should be based on years of experience and special expertise. Our team is always at hand to guide you on setting the fee

Majority of the consultations will be in the form of phone conversation. Face to face consultations can also be arranged following acceptance by both parties. On average, the consultations last between 30 to 45 minutes

Due to the nature of the consultations, and the high level of information required, preparation is not necessary. As a result, we only remunerate you for the amount of time spent in consultation with our client

The information you provide to clients is only with a view to stimulating thought and should not include any investment, legal, financial, accountancy or medical advice. Our clients agree that they bear full responsibility for their decisions. Since the information provided might heavily influence the decisions made by our clients, as a consultant you agree to use due care

To reiterate, specialists must not provide any investment, legal, financial, accountancy, medical or other advice. All discussions are prohibited from focusing on any one specific company. In addition, you must not disclose any confidential information, inside information or non public information. You must decline or discontinue participation in any project that would result in a violation of any of our Terms & Conditions. To encourage your care in complying with stipulated Terms & Conditions, you may submit a payment request and you will be paid in full even if you choose to terminate a consultation early for the purpose of complying

At the project proposal stage, we will provide you with details of the main subject matter of the consultation, as well as the key questions our Client wishes to ask. Our research team will also be available to answer any further questions you may have

Yes. Each consultation and any discussions leading up to a consultation are confidential. You must not disclose to any third party the names of our clients, the subject matter of a consultation or any information about our clients' businesses. Similarly, our Clients must not disclose our Consultants’ personal information or any information discussed in consultations without the necessary prior consents

No, majority of the Consultants are referred to clients on a non-exclusive basis

Yes, you are allowed to continue with the relationship, but HTM Connect will only be obligated to make payment for consultations arranged by us

No, unless specifically agreed in writing, you will not be entering into an exclusive relationship with HTM Connect. Exclusive Consultants qualify for 15% discount on all HTM Capital services

Yes. As an existing Consultant, you have the opportunity to recommend new specialists. A referral bonus of KES 5,000 is paid once the first consultation is carried out by the referred specialist. Please advice the individual to quote your name during the registration process.
